The University of Maryland MRSEC grants ended in September 2013 after 17 years of successful operation. This site remains as a history of the center, but will not be actively maintained.
Julie Callis has been with the MRSEC since 2000 and has over the years been primarily involved in overseeing its information technology, finance, and program management, while also remaining active in education outreach programming. In April 2013, Julie assumed the position of Assistant Director and has been focused on seeing the MRSEC through the completion of its 17-year run, including final grant reporting and financial transitions, as well as on the development of new multi-investigator, interdisciplinary grant proposals. Julie has a Master's degree of International Management (M.I.M.) from UMUC, specializing in International Enterprise Management. Julie is also an alumna of the University of Maryland, College Park, with a B.S. in International Business from the Robert H. Smith School of Business and a B.A. in German Language and Literature from the College of Arts and Humanities at UMD.
